FAQ a la carte
To note: this is meant to be a simple way to order beautiful flowers for your wedding or event. The a la carte option gives you a way to order the flowers you want without the labor charges. You do need to have a single location to deliver to and some help setting up (and cleaning up!). Full-service weddings and events are available with a $7500 minimum depending on previous bookings.
Photos
More than 3 photos are fine! If you have a Pinterest board of inspiration, send the link along. studio@ellaandlouie.com
If you have photos of what you’ll wear (dress, suit, costumes… whatever!) send that along too.
“How much input do we get?”
I ask that you send me a photo of what you like for color and style. If you have a "must have" flower, let me know that as well. You do need to leave me some room for improvising with what is looking good in your color palette and style, but that is true even in full-service orders.
Flowers!
Flowers will be designed in the color and style of your inspiration photos. It will not be an exact copy. We do try to buy locally sourced blooms whenever possible – and there are many local farms! In addition, we pay attention to season to ensure flowers are at their peak beauty for your event.
To that note, I get a lot of silk flower bouquets for inspiration photos - those are not necessarily colors or flowers that exist in nature.
Delivery
Event deliveries are able to be delivered any day of the week. Delivery time is on or before the time you indicate on your order. Due to multiple deliveries, we may need to deliver earlier. Make sure your time is at least 2 hours before you need to be at the ceremony or before your photographer arrives. (but also, delivery times start at 8am)
To note, we do not deliver to the Santa Barbara Courthouse. If you need to add on an additional delivery location - you want your centerpieces to the restaurant and your bouquets to the hotel-just add it on!
There is no option to pick-up your flowers at this time.
When should I order?
A la Carte orders are paid in full when you order so it’s good to wait until you have all the details set. Please do not order more than 3 months in advance. You can let us know you want to order and we’ll note it on the calendar to hold some space for you. studio@ellaandlouie.com
Please, please order when all your details are complete. I have too many add-ons and changes to delivery time and location. It makes it more likely we will make a mistake and I don’t want to have mistakes on wedding days!
Consider who will set up and clean up?
Be sure if you are hiring a coordinator and want them to set up (and clean up!) for you, you have discussed that with them. They may have an additional charge to do so!
A note about Villa+Vine & El Paseo
Please note that these locations do not allow for a flexible delivery time and it’s rare we are able to accommodate the need for a timed delivery to these venues.
I need more help! We do not include a phone (or in person) consultation for these orders. You can add one to your order at $75 for a 30-minute call, but most everyone is just fine with email. Email studio@ellaandlouie.com to schedule.
